Icons

Icons are used to visually represent objects, heroes, or achievements in your story. Moiki allows you to add and use icons simply and flexibly.

Adding an Icon

To add an icon to your project, you have two options.

Adding an icon popup.

Via The Noon Project

Moiki integrates a connection with The Noon Project, a library of monochrome SVG icons.
You can browse and select icons directly from this library to use in your story. This gives you access to a wide range of ready-to-use icons, perfectly suited for customizing your objects and achievements.

Icon search via The Noon Project.

Upload

If you prefer to use your own icons, you can upload them directly from your device. Ensure that your icons are in SVG format and monochrome to guarantee seamless integration into Moiki.
The maximum allowed size for each icon is 300 KB.

Licenses & Credits

Like other media, icons have a license and credits.

For images from The Noon Project, the license permits any use (even commercial), but requires a mention in the credits. Note: The story reader automatically includes the credits for icons from The Noon Project.

For icons you add yourself, be sure to properly complete the credit information and check that you have the right to use them.

For more information on licenses, please refer to the chapter on exports.

Using an Icon

Once you have added your icons, you can use them in various elements of your story. Icons can be associated with object (or hero) variables, providing a clear visual representation of these elements for the player.

They are also useful for illustrating achievements, adding a visual dimension to progress and accomplishments in the story.
